I appreciate your desire and work in attempting to correct what ails Americans these days. It’s a daunting task. Because much of the problems in America are actually legal issues of constitutionality, the appropriate solution can be found in U.S. District court.

The problems we suffer have zero per cent chance of being resolved in federal court if the victims of such unconstitutional activity do not file their grievance(s) in U.S. District court, seeking redress for wrongs committed.

Just because a Congress or state legislature or quasi-administration passes a bill, law or code, that by no means that such tender is constitutional, much less lawful. That’s what federal courts are for: a venue, a weapon, a tool to combat wrongs committed by institutions, corporations and government. In fact, except for the citizen’s right-to-bear arms, this is the only venue the citizen lawfully enjoys to combat such wrongs and seek redress for such wrongful acts against such large institutions of commerce and government.

Virtually each bill needs constitutional review by a federal judge, especially of late. Basically, if one qualifies for food stamps, one qualifies for indigent status in federal court, and as such enjoys waived court costs, filing fees and appointed federal civil attorney.

It’s THE THING Occupiers should be doing pronto, in every state, on every issue pertinent to our civil liberties and economy.

Just because some damn committee drafts and approves a document, by no means does that document hold constitution muster until reviewed by a federal judge. And why not?

Some naysayers worry and complain about crooked judges and point to the U.S. Supreme Court: yes, Anton and Scalia are frauds themselves, but the majority of federal judges are not frauds and do indeed rule on the letter of the law and constitution. In fact, several federal judges have already ruled substantially for Occupy thus far; in particular, a federal judge ruled that Occupiers could remain in the park and the city did NOT possess the constitutional authority to evict said Occupying protesters.

These secret meetings could create over-reaching new rules and standards that will choke off the online speech of individuals, websites, and platforms accused of copyright infringement.

But because the meetings are held behind closed doors and the text has not been released to the public, the citizens who will be affected do not know the details and don’t have a voice.

How will the Wall Street Protest” and OWS influence this election?

Newt Gingrich seems to be taking off in the polls.  We’ve heard about Mitt Romney for months now.  Others have fallen off: Michele Bachman, Herman Cain, and Rick Perry come to mind.  Ron Paul seems to be lingering in the polls but not out of the mix.

Looking forward, how will the Occupy Wall Street protesters – the “99%” – impact the upcoming elections?

Some believe they will simply note vote.

Others think OWS supports Ron Paul (which our polls have demonstrated to be an inaccurate assumption).   The ideas espoused by Ron Paul so far seem most in line with OWS ideas – a need for a different perspective with respects to certain areas of our social construct, however, that is even debatable among OWS insiders.

It is possible that as the months drag on, protesters will revert to their bi-partisan voting ways and seek a democrat by default.  One major problem with Ron Paul, according to many visitors to this site, is that he is a quote un-quote, “Republican.”  That mere label hurts him.

Why doesn’t Ron Paul run as an independent?  Heck, even the Republicans who do support him would probably vote for him either way.  He’d only stand to gain a ton of support for making that move.  If you know why, please leave a comment or contact us privately and let us know if we can post it.

Since today was a big day for OWS – taking it to the streets by the hundreds (or thousands) smack dab in front of the U.S. Capitol – many have wondered when this day would come.  What started in Wall Street really started with Congress.  They allowed it.  So, taking the protest to the legislative branch makes perfect sense.

We think it is right to include our Congress related polls and add a few more for you to vote on in case you have yet to do so.  The forefront of the issues is “no term limits for Senators.”  This issue is based on the broader issue of campaign finance reform and “money in politics.”

Every single U.S. citizen is affected by the issues inherent in the funding of elections by banks, corporations, institutions, and the list goes on.

Most Americans are perhaps unaware that these entities fund candidates running for office, and this practice leads to nothing short of corruption.  Both parties allow corporations and banks to control the regulatory processes inherent to the safety of our businesses, trade, and most important of all – our people’s health.

According to MSNBC, “some of the protesters attended planned meetings with their lawmakers to talk about their grievances, including a group from Greensboro, N.C., that met with Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan’s staff in her office.”  This apparent embracement of the people by those in office is a good sign; a good step in the right direction.  But still, it’s only a start.

For the record, TheWallStreetProtest.com intends to post more polls and video compilations involving Congress.  We have created videos depicting the irony of the “Arab Spring” and President Obama’s response (condemning acts overseas, but acts which are also taking place in his own country).  Expect a shift away from Obama, and a focus on Congress and the presidential election of 2012.
