Tax theory must be harnessed to produce positive things for the people, not for a fraction of society. It was a huge surprise to many following when President Obama not only extended the Bush-era tax cuts, but also increased the federal estate tax exemption to $5 million for individuals and $10 million for couples.

We now know, according to CNN, as of the early hours of November 9th, 62% of the voters in Ohio from 28% of the precincts have voted to repeal a controversial law affecting teachers, police officers, and other public employees, and moreover, it projects that the law will NOT go into effect once all votes are tallied. This is considered a major victory for public employees – a major defeat for some Republicans.
